"The One Saints Day Worth Observing"

Here they are. Sans the Missus and self, this is the company that foregathered of a Wednesday Night to strap on the feed bag and exchange pink hearts.
Good looking women and stern-faced men. It doesn't get any better.

The post title comes from a poem written for the occasion by Tom "Lord" Banks (standing with poetic dash to the far right).

It is a Poet, it seems,
Or Someone like Oscar Wilde,
Who is a natural Go-Between
For Genders Stern and Mild.

Mr. Smoke,
Alas, when someone has not the wherewithal within themselves to join a conversation with ladies present without governing their own tongue, it does not mean that all government must cease.
While, yes, there are elements of reality that discommode, those element's reality is not the same as a divine command to speak of them nor speak of them in an unkind or crass way. As example: Say I met the king of Austria and his wife. Let us imagine that his wife is objectively, as seen in the heavens, ugly. It is true. Must it be said because it is true? "Unwelcome elements of reality" notwithstanding, honor of someone's position and your own as a gentleman would keep you from it.
The long and short of it is, yes, censorship is the "way of dealing" for those whose relationship with reality is superficial at best. Someone who dishonors others is a sad candidate for having their every word saved, untouched, unedited. Do unto others as you would be done by, said Our Lord.

Mr. Smoke,
You will notice that in one of your posts subsequent to that deleted, that you used a word considered by many to be "dirty". It remains where you wrote it. The earlier censorship had little to do with my disapproval of your content (and I did disapprove) but with the consideration that the venue (my blog) was going to be used at someone else's (an innocent) expense. I don't mind myself being shocked or abused vigorously on mine own site but, call me Victorian, I will protect the ladies. As it says in Scripture, "honor the woman as the weaker vessel."

Mr. Smoke,
I have been called worse than "absurd". I gather you plan on doing just that. May I ask that you not falter into the use of gratuitous "bad" language or sexual suggestion? Insult me in language with meaning. Speak to my flaws (as you see them) with wit and humor. Some of my other detractors may applaud you if you belabor me with insight and clarity. I might even be changed. Occasional cussin' will be understood in the spirit given but excess spoils the mood hereabouts. Thank you.

Smoke, (may I call you "Smoke"?), I was trying to set an example.
